Whats Something Original That Can Be Invented and Put Towards Helping Build the International Space Station?
For a homework assignment i need to design a piece of equipment that astronauts could use for building the ISS. It can be used by the crew on a spacewalk, or by an astronaut inside the shuttle, or inside the space station. It can be a remotely operated or manually controlled piece of equipment, a tool, a process or even software. It can address any part or phase of the construction process from the next mission through assembly complete. Have any ideas?

Surprisingly a trait that we seem to have a lot of when it comes to something that absurdly expensive…… Stupidity
Well, instead of dumping the first stage of rockets into the sea, they should designed so that they are carried up into orbit and bolted to the station as containers.
They might not be able to be pressurized with air. But they could be useful as storage containers.
Eventually such containers may find a use as strap on supply containers for manned probes to Mars and beyond.
A spring-powered fishing line with little grappling hooks on the end. It could have a spinning reel for retrieving a tool bag that has gotten loose. An astronaut could also use it to grab the ISS and pull himself back in if his jet pack runs out of fuel.
One item they don’t have up there is a home-sized refrigerator for food storage. How’s to come up with something that is lightweight, doesn’t use a lot of power and can operate in a free fall environment.
