Rent or buy heavy machinery?
My company ask me to do a cost study on the purchase of heavy equipment (such as a shovel, excavator, dump 16 tons). Can anyone give me advice on whether to buy or rent the machines for long-term use. What is more profitable in terms use and maintenance.
Renting can be a little more expensive at first, but maintenance heavy equipment can be very expensive. If your company buys and breaks a hose water is not only costly, but to establish the amount of time thing. If you just rent the machine and something breaks replace the rental company entire machine or tube, which costs no money now to fix all the time. Thus, in the long run may be better to rent because they do not have to worry about for maintenance and insurance in case of failure. Parts for heavy equipment are definitely not cheap at all. I recommend renting the machine.
