More Digging With a Bobcat 709 Backhoe
More raw, unedited footage left over from a previous YouTube video. Just using it up so I can delete it from my hard drive

I’m looking forward to the day when these things no longer exist.
I think Fast Trac is probably the only company in B.C. that uses one of those backhoe attachments LOL.
I did not even know any of those still existed! Not very fun to run, real jerky and not smooth. Were the controls backhoe or excavator style. Put me on backhoe(John deere) Style controls and I’ll look like a 3 year old!
Excavator style.
Its a backhoe pretty much all jerky when operating them.
In every machine, do you expect to feel a feedback when you move a lever? Thanks.
I had to run run a old bobcat for a friend the other day, with an old Davis 4stick backhoe attachment. It was a trip.
I still swear by mechanical controls in a regular backhoe loader though.
I also like the old mechanical controls. Even when they get loose and sloppy. Never had a problem with them.
bob cat more like bob joke
iv fan those i like the excovators better than the attachment
is this is canada at a school ?
No. Richmond (Canada) at a fire hall.
boring, this video sucks
lol! And you just keep coming back for more anyway!
LMAO!
how deep can that thing dig??
can you make a video on how to put these on me and my dad can never do it like it says you can
Sorry, I can’t help you with that one. I don’t have access to one now.
Ahh… the good old days.spent most of the 80′s running a 743,709 hoe and a 811hoe on a 843. The only way to run a 811 is two preferably three functions at the same time, smooths her right out. Used to set 42″ cb’s with the 811.. full power…both hands on one stick…tires of the ground… yee haa..yup good times….not!!!
Yee ha, JB!
You know you miss it….
;-)
Sorry Carl. I missed this comment when you posted it.
I can’t speak to whether I expect to feel feedback in the controls on every machine, but I will say that I prefer it if I can feel some feedback in the controls. On some machines, for example, if you hit a harder layer of material while you dig, not only do you feel a bit of feedback through the machine itself, but you can feel it in the control levers. I think it can give the operator a bit more fine control of the work.
@flyboy21193 Check out my vid entitled how to attach a Bobcat Backhoe. Hope it helps you.
@kimchiman1000 using a backhoe/loader is better than using a backhoe attachment on a skidsteer
@sanitaire800
I’m pretty sure most folks are aware of that fact. But since you commented thusly, did you want to tell us why you said that?
@kimchiman1000 the backhoe attachments dont have a seat that swivels like backhoes when you want to swivel to the rear of the machine to use the rear bucket
i used to have the exact same thing but i had to sell it to buy a new muffler, and 2 new radiators, and a new seat. I miss that thing. But im going to buy another one soon whn i get the money. And i own a Bobcat 643 made in 1991. great machine
