I Need to Find Some Information About a Gradall Excavator, I Need the Specs About Transmission, Engine?

i am planning on removing the transmission from this salvage Gradall excavator and need this info about what this transmission will interchange with. It is an older model, possibly a 1970′s? It says Warner-Swasey on one side and also it’s also called the gradall hydroscopic (excavator)

Oh My God, you have a Gradall? As far as I know, only New York State still uses them! They were good for ditching and dredging the Erie Canal and that was about all. They were too expensive to maintain and repair, so they fell out of favor. They also had a large turntable that blocked both lanes of a two lane road while ditching, so it was unpopular with DPWs everywhere.
The one I worked on, was a 1969 model, it had a 430 cid International 6 cyl gas engine with a IH 8 speed transmission. You can order parts etc. from an International dealer. The rear engine was a Cat, but some models had a Detroit diesel engine, there are plenty of dealers for those as well. Warner is no longer in buisness, it was assorbed by another company, (dresser, I think) but their line of WS hydralics is still around. The Central distributor that routed the hydralic and air control lines through the turntable was the biggest headache. It would cost over $2000.00 in 1973 dollars to replace, and we did it evry two years. The county finally replaced it with a Drott excavator, and later bought another Drott to loan out to various towns.
