I NEED HELP CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS QUESTION?

Now i know this might not be the right section but i couldnt find any closer then this one. Ok so its about heavy equipment that is used for construction, digging etc. Identify the reason for positioning the excavator with the propel motors to the rear when working close to an excavation??? Please help ive looked everywhere in the internet i can find and no luck yet

    Not 100% sure but I would think that it uses its own motor for a counterweight to help you not tip over into the hole you are digging.
