Gradall Wheeled Excavator
The city sent a Gradall excavator to make a small channel for the water to drain instead of collecting at the bottom of the street and create a swamp. I was unable to get a real good angle to shoot the video because of the trees, so i just sat out in my yard and taped it from there.

I had watched this video more than three times.
Safety no no tips while on the job:
1) person sitting under tree too close boom
2) no vests or hardhats
3) hand on boom while in operation
4) walking under boom while in operation
5) guy used himself as a shield for operator to pick up material 1:51 into video
6) no ear protection
7) operator empties bucket and swings boom over workers head
8) on road – no 4-way flashers on
9) no beacon on machine
10) moving in remote with overhanging wires
more
operator looks inexperienced
1) pushing material with tongue
2) allowing workers to walk under boom while in operation.
3) operator rough on machine
4) No need for high rev while shoveling into bucket
5) Weight restriction: racked boom too far out over cab while travelling. Putting to much weight on front end.
yea, when i was video taping this i thought he was new. I only know information and how to operate a Crawler excavator.
city workers crack me up
what was the point of the water
@Ksvoronos
it is at the bottom of a hill and every time it rains, water is collected there and stays there for a very long time. They have had to replace the asphalt because of it once.
cool video where i live at they were working on my street bt they were puttin dirt on side the road cuz the road wasnt leveled
That thing is way too loud, I would hate to have to work next to that all day. Our cruz air is almost as annoying. Our volvo is nice and quiet
Why oh why does the City buy Gradall? Whats the fasination with these things a wheeled excavator does it better quicker and cheaper…?
