Doctor Who Christmas Filk Songs With Cat’r (Ukulele)

These songs are from a couple different fanzines from the early 1980′s, so they are mostly in the Fourth Doctor’s time. I’m Dreaming of a Blue TARDIS – Christine Buchman I’m dreaming of a blue TARDIS Just like the one I used to know Where the blue light glistened And Doctor listened To hear companions come and go. I’m dreaming of a blue TARDIS With every scarf I knit for you May your times be lengthy and true And may all your TARDISes be blue. Cloister Bells (Silver Bells) – Debbie Burkhart CHORUS: Cloister bells, cloister bells, It’s crisis time in the TARDIS! Hear the bells? Hear them ring? Soon we will be in a bind! See the lightbulbs on the console Blink a bright red–not green– As the Time Rotor smokes and the sparks fly System’s all out, hear the Doc shout, It’s the Master’s big scene– And above all the screaming you hear… CHORUS Oh Krynoid Tree – Unknown Oh Krynoid Tree, Oh Krynoid Tree You great big ugly monster Oh Krynoid Tree, Oh Krynoid Tree, You great big ugly monster. We avoid you in the wintertime We avoid you in the summertime Oh Krynoid Tree, Oh Krynoid Tree, You great big ugly monster. Cloister Bells (Jingle Bells) – Unknown In an old police call box with a flashing light on top Through time and space we go, who knows where we’ll stop? The Doctor’s in control, changing wrongs to right Oh what fun it is to watch DOCTOR WHO most any night… CHORUS: Oh cloister bells, Davros smells, K-9′s gone away Oh what fun it is to watch the Doctor save the day-ay

Thanks! B. got the necklace for me from a hardware store for $5 !! I could’ve had it flashing, but that would’ve been pretty distracting! :-D And thank you re: the collab. :-)

Yes! and Thanks! Now you know the Doctor’s TARDIS is a little wonky and doesn’t always go exactly where or when you expect, but we’ll try!

This video made my life! I’m sending it to my father. He’ll get a kick out of it. :) And he’s jealous that his days of watching Doctor Who in England are over, and mine are occurring now. :D Great singing! Delightful lovely wonderful yay joy!

Eeee! Thank you! ::blushing:: I just phoned Cat’r at WORK to read him your comment!! I hope your father likes it too–let me know what he says! :-) Well, there’s the Christmas special coming. Plus there are older episodes on DVD.

Wowee! Thanks! :) I’m sure my father will LOVE it and tell me to learn those songs on the uke too! (He’s been at me to start singing for years now.) He takes a while to respond to emails and he’s 5 hours behind me, but I’m sure he will. :)

Mmm, we get the new DVDs! But I think he misses coming downstairs and watching it himself as it aired. Now I get to go downstairs and watch it with my housemates as a second-year uni student! Can’t wait for the Christmas special!

You’re welcome! I chose the simplest chords for the various Christmas songs that I could because I’m still such a beginner (3 months playing)!

We’re all watching The Sarah Jane Adventures on DVD right now–still in the 1st season!

Haha. Cute. Thumbs way up!! I could really use a Tardis myself. I wonder if I could have one outfitted with an audio/video studio.

@MusicMonsterW Thanks very much! :-) I haven’t been able to make any videos this Christmastime, as my computer is still enshrouded in plastic until we know if the roof-leak-repair is really gonna hold in that room. It was a mess to clean up in there, so I don’t want to take down the plastic too soon! Anyway, I’ll bet you could have anything you wanted in a TARDIS!! I’d LOVE to have one!

@andrewandmorph These are the chords you would use for the traditional Christmas songs these are based on: “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”, “Silver Bells”, “O Christmas Tree”, and “Jingle Bells”. Just google for them. :-)
