Do You Need a License to Rent a Excavator?
I would like to demolish a small house and garage on my property and want to rent a excavator for the day. Is this something I could do myself? I live in Ma.

You will have to present a license in order to be able to rent one and if you are within city limits, you will be required to get a permit to do it legally. If you like in the country, you would still need a county permit, but you could chance it and not get one. But either way, you’ll need a license to rent the machine. They may even require you attend a class before demolishing something of that size.
I think you need a permit from your city to demolish, ask your city.
ask the people that rent the excavator, they should know.
