    Yes, a compact excavator is also called mini excavator because of its small size and the fact that it is easily usable in residential jobs (digging, trenching, leveling, backfilling). It is different from others kinds of heavy machinery in that it uses hydraulic fluid for running its cylinders, motors & overall function.

    Assembly-wise, a compact excavator is made up of the house, undercarriage & work group. Usually, it includes a standard backfill blade and has an independent boom swing.
